Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

  • Fill out this application form in the case of the original applicant. Include proof of an address change, or other information.
  • If applicants do not have proof of their change of address, he may certify the form to the people listed below.
    • Gazetted Officer - Group A
    • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
    • Gazetted Officer - Group B
    • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
    • Tehsildar
    • Head of Recognized Education Institution
    • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
    • Recognized shelters/ Orphanages/ Shelters
    • Officer EPFO
  • In the meantime, you need to go to the nearest Aadhaar Center along with this application form that you can use to request an address change, and you may also apply online for the Address change using the Aadhaar Number. link - Address Change Link

UIDAI permits the users of Aadhaar cardsto change their address, without needing documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their addresseven if they don't have evidence of their identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial feature which lets you change your Aadhaar card's address without a document of your address.

UIDAI lets the users of Aadhaar cards to change their address without any proof of identity. Aadhaar card holders can alter their address, provided they are able to consent to the authentication for the verification of address. An address verifier can be a family member, friend, landlord or family member who permits the Aadhaar card user to verify their address.

UIDAI has stopped this feature. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card card holder via Twitter by announcing that the capability to change the address on Aadhaar Card via an Address Validation letter was canceled. UIDAI has asked for the Aadhaar issuer to remind the user that they can change their address using a genuine PoA document.

UIDAI list the following documents on its website as POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that contain the name and address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not older that 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older than 3 months)

Check your Credit Card Balance (not older that 3 months).

Photograph of signature and signature of business registered on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Identity card of parent (in for minors)

Central/ State Govt. The government issued an allotment request to accommodate. (Not greater than 3 Years)

Bhamashah Cards/Jan Aadhaar cards issued by Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate issued by the Superintendent/ WardenMatron/ Head Of Institution of a recognized shelter orphanages, etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
